How do we feel about this girls???!! It seems to be a trailer for some Wallsocket-themed project! My Charlie can’t stop talking about it. I’m personally excited that our town is getting some recognition, but I can see why this might be controversial. What do yall think?

I’m gonna be honest: I don’t have faith that whatever this is is going to shine a positive light on our town.. Maybe I’m just being cynical but this artist/band has some pretty angry/angsty music (at least from my quick Google Search…)
I’d love to be proven wrong though! Now more than ever we need to show everyone – especially any newcomers – just how amazing our little community really is!
I do understand where you’re coming from… but I think regardless of whatever short-term impact this has the long-term results will be positive.
I brought it up with my daughter and found out that she loves The Underscores! She said that the band’s music has made her more environmentally aware and inspired her to start recycling. I don’t quite understand it but I’m happy she’s found something she cares so much about.
As for faith, Jesus said, “In the world ye shall have tribulation, but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” John 16:33
I dunno gals… I’m all for Wallsocket recognition, however, this… teenage angst is not what I was expecting for our lovely little town. We’ll see, although I don’t have my hopes high.
The Underscores seem pretty popular though. Maybe the kids that listen to her can bring some good rep to our town.

Say what you like but I think this kind of teenage angst is exactly what our little town needs! Wallsocket needs young people now, and it will continue to need young people in the future. My eldest, Piper, has no plans to stay here when she graduates, and the sentiment is largely the same for many of our children. I look forward to this, all press is good press as they say!
